I've decided to go with Ubuntu 10.10 as my desktop version, but will probably go with 10.04 LTS for the servers I plan to use Linux on. 10.04 LTS is likely more stable than 10.10 so it makes sense to use that for my servers. I am choosing the Ubuntu distribution simply because of its popularity, and I have used it before and like it.
